88 percent of mobile users are 88 percent mobile users

Science and Technology Desk: The number of internet users in Bangladesh is now more than nine crore. About 88 percent of them use mobile based internet. According to the information provided by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), till August this year, around nine crore people of Bangladesh are using the Internet.

BTRC has published these information on its website on Thursday. However, the majority of Internet users are mobile internet users. About 8 crore 46 people use mobile internet. On the other hand, about 58 lakhs 16 thousand Internet users through personal computers from WiMAX and ISP (Internet Service Providers) and PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) Internet service.

According to this estimate, about 88 percent of internet users use mobile internet. And 12 percent of the subscribers are using internet on desktops or laptops or personal computers.

At the same time, the number of customers in the company of WiMAX internet services like QUBEE or Banglalion is decreasing day by day. Earlier this year, there were about 88,000 WiMAX internet users, but now it is about 83 thousand.

In this regard, the Minister of Post, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Mr. Mustafa Jabbar said, "As the technology progresses, the number of internet subscribers will come in such a number that we have said long ago. Now those who can handle a hand are using the internet. Of the 16 million people, the subscriber is 9 million subscribers.

With the achievement of the number of internet subscribers, Mustafa Jabbar said, "Today the infrastructure of the people so many people are using the internet but the government has created. The situation has become so today due to the situation that the government has created the infrastructure. If more projects are in the pipeline, the number will increase further. After the next five years, everyone else is using the internet except the newly born child.

Meanwhile, technology experts have expressed concern about the ratio of personal computer-based internet users to significantly lower than the number of mobile Internet subscribers. They say, the use of computer-based internet is inexhaustible. Freelancers can earn from foreign countries on the basis of desktops or laptops, which are not possible by mobile. In this case, the need to increase the number of personal computer-based internet users to encourage freelancers to market around 600 billion dollars.

Bijkop founder Nahid Hassan said, "Freelancing training and digital marketing services on the basis of Bijkop's founder Nahid Hassan said," In fact, the number of users of the device-based user varies depending on the differentiating the purpose of internet usage. However, mobile or desktop-based options for freelancing or online earnings may not yet be available. Some sort of work may be taken very quickly by mobile. In this case, we need to understand that broadband connectivity in our entire country is still very weak. Broadband connection outside the capital Dhaka or district towns has not yet reached ".

On the other hand mobile internet is a great way to run the Internet on computers. So, increasing the number of desktop-based internet users, Nahid Hassan feels that broadband connectivity will be increased at an affordable cost.
