The government is making software for the disabled

To facilitate the people with disabilities, the government is preparing software to ensure services through Bangla language-based IT. This software is easy to see, but people who are unable or able to listen or listen to them will benefit. Calling on the public Janata Tower in the city on Thursday, telecommunications and information technology minister Mustafa Jabbar said this.

The minister spoke on the occasion of "Software Development for the Persons with Disabilities Workshop" in the city of Karwan Bazar, Publicity Tower Software Technology Park organized by the Department of Information and Communication Technology, in the field of software development under the Bangla language enrichment project.

According to information and communications department sources, software for people with disabilities is being created under the project 'enriching Bengali language in the field of research through research and development'. In order to convert sign language, face or zodiac to Unicode text, it will generate automatic speech. Through this, people with disabilities will display the Bangla sign language in front of a mobile phone camera, ie, their hands, hands finger, face sign, display sign language, mobile app will recognize this sign and display them as Bangla Unicode text. At the same time this text will be created from Bangla Speech. The name will be 'Automated Real-Time Bangla Sign-Gesture Detection & Text-Speech Generation System (Vice-Versa).

The system will not be dependent on any device specific. It can be done with simple Android mobile or equivalent devices. This system will be prepared with motion image processing, so that artificial intelligence, especially machine learning technology will be used. Generally, there are almost everything that a disabled person has to create in the daily and institutional work. Such as medical treatment and diagnosis of diseases, description of the legal advice and situation of the police, classrooms, restaurants, shops, airports, entertainment places, family conversations, inquiries etc. will be able to create sign-to-text and speech during settings.

Mostafa Jabbar said around 350 million people of the world spoke Bengali. Therefore, the Bangla speaking people will have to create useful software.
